CAMEO stops at politics. These 9 domains and 56 codes are the GDELT Cloud extension covering everything else that is a discrete event: crime, the economy, corporate action, technology, infrastructure, environment, health, demography and information. Each domain uses a compact <2-letter><ordinal> code, so the first two characters identify the domain. Filter with GET /api/v2/events?family=cameoplus&cameoplus_domain=<domain> or on a specific code.
Goldstein does not apply here. goldstein_scale carries meaning only for CAMEO POLITICAL and for the conflict family. Every other domain stores 0.0 by schema instruction — treat it as not applicable, never as neutral. significance is the cross-domain ranking number.
Codes are a published contract. A code string is in the warehouse and in customer queries, so codes are added and deprecated — never renamed. Filtering on one is safe to hard-code.
